Welcome to Llanharan Community Council. We serve the communities of Llanharan, Brynna, Brynnau Gwynion, Bryncae, Llanilid and Ynysmaerdy. The Community Council was formed in 1974 under the Local Government Act 1972 as the successor to the former Parish Councils.

Llanharan Community Council serves the communities of Bryncae,Brynna,Llanharan,Llanilid &Ynysmaerdy
Happy 100th birthday to Anne ‘Nancy’ Warren.
Born and bred in Robert Street, Nancy has lived in Llanharan and Brynna all her life. Nancy has been active in the community in her time, including serving as a governor of Brynnau school.
The Deputy Chair of the Council, County Councillor Janine Turner visited today to present Nancy with flowers and a card on behalf of the council and a small gift.

The tender for the refurbishment of Oakbrook Skatepark is intended to be issued in due course based on the design shown below. The project will be funded by the Community Council using some of the council's CIL funds (a tax on new housing developments) and grant money from Grantscape (The
Mynydd Portref windfarm fund).
